Who we are
DoctorOS is operated by DoctorOS, 256, St. 14, Iqbal Block, Sector E, Bahria Town, Lahore, Pakistan. You can reach us at no-reply@doctoros.org or +92 321 8416082. By creating an account or booking through DoctorOS you agree to these terms, our privacy policy, refund policy and service delivery policy.
What DoctorOS is (and isn't)
DoctorOS is a platform that connects patients with independent, verified healthcare practitioners and gives practices the tools to run their work. The medical care itself is provided by the practitioner, not by DoctorOS — we are not a healthcare provider and nothing on the platform is medical advice from us. In an emergency, call 1122 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials safe.
- Practitioners must hold a valid professional registration (e.g. PMDC) and pass identity verification before their profile becomes publicly bookable.
- We may suspend or remove accounts that provide false credentials, abuse other users, or attempt to defraud the platform. Practitioner moderation decisions can be appealed via no-reply@doctoros.org.
Booking terms
- The visit fee is due at the practice unless the visit was prepaid online.
- You can cancel free of charge up to 6 hours before the appointment. Cancelling later deducts 30% of the visit fee (paid to the practitioner); the rest is refunded.
- If the practitioner cancels less than 12 hours before the appointment, you are refunded in full and the practitioner is charged a penalty.
- Please arrive on time — more than 10 minutes late may be marked as a no-show. You can still be seen the same day as a walk-in, with priority over other walk-ins.
- Notes, prescriptions and files from the visit are added to your DoctorOS health timeline.
Cancellation policy at a glance
| Who cancels | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| You (patient) | ≥ 6h before | Free — full refund if prepaid |
| You (patient) | < 6h before | 30% of the visit fee goes to the practitioner; the rest is refunded |
| Practitioner | ≥ 12h before | Free — you're refunded in full |
| Practitioner | < 12h before | You're refunded in full and the practitioner is charged a penalty |
| No-show | > 10 min late | May be marked no-show — you can still be seen the same day as a priority walk-in |
Reminders go out 24 and 3 hours before every visit.
Payments, subscriptions & fees
- Visit fees are set by each practice and shown before you book. Where offered, larger treatments can be paid in instalments on a schedule you agree with your practitioner — the full plan is visible in your portal before you accept it.
- Practice subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial (no card required) and then renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. If a renewal payment fails, the subscription is marked past-due and an open invoice is issued; access continues while you settle it.
- Online payments are processed in PKR by licensed providers — JazzCash, Easypaisa, and cards/bank via PayFast. DoctorOS never stores your card number or wallet credentials.
- Refunds follow the refund policy.
- Practitioners pay a commission on visits sourced through the DoctorOS marketplace, as itemised in their monthly statement. Overdue statements can pause a practice's marketplace listing until settled.
Your records, your ownership
- Notes, prescriptions and files from every visit are added to your lifelong DoctorOS health timeline — you keep them even if you change practitioners.
- A practitioner sees your records only with your consent, and you can review or revoke access any time from Privacy.
- Every access to your record is logged on a tamper-evident audit trail you can inspect.
- Moving to a new practitioner? Transfer your records yourself from Transfer records — no permission needed from the old practice.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the platform: no false reviews, no impersonation, no scraping other users' data, no harassment in the community, and no use of the Q&A to solicit or provide care outside a proper consultation. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules.
Liability
The treating practitioner is responsible for the care they provide. DoctorOS is responsible for the platform working as described; to the extent permitted by law, our liability for platform issues is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes fall to the courts of Lahore. We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes are announced in-app, and the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
Questions about these terms? Write to no-reply@doctoros.org or call +92 321 8416082.
